Remote Car Starter

Defeat the cold. Professional installation that keeps your factory warranty intact.

The #1 Concern

Warranty & Safety

We use T-Harness factory integration and soldered connections, not quick taps that can corrode or loosen over time. This means we're connecting to your vehicle's existing wiring harness at specific junction points, not cutting into factory wires.

This method is approved by vehicle manufacturers and will NOT void your warranty.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects you. A dealer cannot void your warranty simply because you added an aftermarket remote starter, unless they can prove that specific component caused the failure.

All installations include a lifetime warranty on workmanship. We stand behind every connection.

Will this void my factory warranty?
No. Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (consumer protection law in Canada and the USA), your dealership cannot void your warranty unless they can prove the remote starter caused the failure. We use factory-approved integration methods (T-harness connections) specifically to preserve your coverage.
How long does installation take?
Most installations take 3-5 hours depending on the vehicle. Complex vehicles (diesels, manuals, or push-to-start systems) may take longer due to additional safety sensors and module programming. We'll give you an accurate timeframe during your consultation.
Is it safe for my vehicle?
Absolutely. Modern remote starters have multiple safety features: brake pressure sensors (manual transmissions), hood pin switches, tach-based anti-grind protection, and parking brake detection. The system will not start if any safety condition is violated.

Long Range & Smartphone Control

2-Way Remotes give you confirmation feedback. When you press "start," the remote vibrates or beeps to confirm the vehicle started successfully. This is critical when you can't see your car from your office window.

DroneMobile takes it further. Start your vehicle from anywhere using your smartphone. Unlimited range (as long as you have cell service). Get push notifications when the car starts, check the vehicle's status, or even unlock doors remotely.

Choose the remote system that fits your lifestyle, from basic 1-way to unlimited smartphone control.

What is the range on a remote starter?
1-Way systems: Up to 1,500 feet (line of sight).
2-Way systems: Up to 3 miles (5 km) depending on the model and terrain.
DroneMobile (smartphone): Unlimited range, anywhere you have cell service.
Is there a monthly fee for the phone app?
Yes. DroneMobile (smartphone control) requires a subscription: typically $5-10 CAD/month or $50-100/year depending on the plan. This covers the cellular data connection between your phone and the vehicle. Standard remote controls (1-way/2-way) have NO monthly fees.
Can I control my starter from the factory key fob?
Some systems allow "OEM integration" where you can press Lock-Lock-Lock (3x) on your factory fob to start the vehicle. This is vehicle-dependent and requires a special module. Ask us about compatibility during your consultation.
We Specialize

Complex Vehicles

Diesels: Diesel engines need extra warm-up time and have glow plug cycles. We install diesel-specific modules that account for these requirements and won't strain your electrical system.

Manual Transmissions: We install brake pressure sensors and neutral safety switches to ensure the car cannot start unless it's in neutral with the parking brake engaged. This is a multi-step process, but we've done thousands of them safely.

Push-to-Start Vehicles: These require a bypass module that emulates the presence of your factory key fob inside the cabin. The module is encrypted and vehicle-specific for security.

Diesel truck in winter

No vehicle is too difficult. From lifted diesels to European luxury cars with encrypted systems, we handle it all.

Can you do manual transmissions?
Yes! We install a "reservation mode" system with brake pressure sensors. Before you leave the vehicle, you put it in neutral, engage the parking brake, and press a button sequence. The system then "reserves" the ability to start remotely. If any door opens or the brake is pressed, the reservation cancels for safety.
Does it work with my Push-to-Start button?
Yes. We use a bypass module (like Fortin, iDatalink, or Compustar) that emulates your factory key fob's signal inside the vehicle. The module is vehicle-specific and encrypted for security. You still keep your factory key fob with you. It never stays in the car.
What about European or luxury vehicles?
We install remote starters on BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, and other European makes regularly. These vehicles often require specialized bypass modules and canbus integration, but we have the tools and training to do it right. Book a consultation to discuss your specific make/model.
